We put a few questions to Quentin, happy owner of a Tiny House Colibri and manager of the Zen'ature online boutique, where you'll find natural interior decorations, depolluting plants, terrariums and log holders, among other things.
What made you decide to buy a Tiny House?
First of all, it's the ecological aspect of the construction (the materials used, the energy savings and the absence of fossil fuels). What's more, I'm attracted by the minimalist philosophy inherent in this type of housing. The small volume of the house also creates a cosy, warm atmosphere. I really like that.
Finally, as I'd only recently become self-employed, my budget was limited. The economic appeal therefore influenced my choice. The price allowed me to become a homeowner, which was utopian in my eyes.
In your opinion, is an optimized 20m² space enough?
Before I bought the Tiny House, I had a few misgivings, which quickly dissipated thanks to the interior layout. The Tiny House opens up to the outside world, which suits me perfectly. I've already enjoyed several barbecues at the foot of the Tiny. Each time, it's been a convivial affair, and we've never felt cramped. Nevertheless, to avoid overloading the space, I had to make a few choices in the layout. I opted for a living room rather than a dining room for the sake of conviviality. But as I said earlier, life in this type of home is spent both indoors and outdoors, which enlarges the space.
Why did you choose Quadrapol for your project?
After doing a lot of research with various builders, I came across the company Quadrapol by chance on the Le Bon Coin website. I took a number of steps to ensure that the company was reliable. By reading various articles and numerous positive comments about them, I was able to confirm their expertise and reliability. Contact with Mr. Jean-Jacques Perrolle of the sales team reinforced my confidence in the company.
A second reason for my choice was the value for money. The company uses quality products, such as larch cladding and oak worktops. The company also pays attention to detail and aesthetics, such as a small designer lamp on the outside of the Tiny House and integrated spotlights.
How did the on-site installation of your Tiny House go?
Delivery times were respected to the letter. Despite the language barrier, I was able to talk to a very friendly young man who installed the Tiny on site. The final installation was made easier by a video on some tips for stabilizing it. The equipment needed for installation was complete (wrench, wood to place under the crutches). A pleasant surprise was the discovery of some Polish specialties.
Are you satisfied with your Tiny House Colibri?
Yes, I'm completely satisfied with Tiny House Colibri. The interior is cosy. It's very bright. When night falls, the spotlights in the ceiling add to the warmth of the house.
Although the bathroom is small, the shower area is spacious. There's also a sink and a cupboard for storing various products. The materials used are of the highest quality. Appliances and heaters are from a well-known German brand. The larch cladding is treated for 10 years.
The finishes are impeccable, as are the precision wood-cutting. Several people came to visit it, and it was admired by all, even by those more skeptical of the minimalist philosophy behind the concept.
In conclusion, on delivery I discovered a well-finished, high-quality product.
